End of Life Doula Services in Willamette County
Holistic End-of-Life Preparation & Support
Mindful preparedness and reprieve in a difficult time.
Grief is often complex and depleting. Some days, you may not be able to tackle the mundane tasks of daily life. A helping hand to guide you through those days will be imperative to your well-being.
You may not know what you need until you are experiencing the end-of-life journey yourself or with a loved one. I will customize a care plan for your unique path with compassion and solace.
Healthcare Advocacy & Advanced Care Guidance
I work with hospice, palliative care teams, and other healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive care. My experience with patients over the years has proven technology to be an obstacle for many, and I can certainly help with that. Handwritten forms, online documents, and reaching out to healthcare teams can eliminate client stressors and alleviate unnecessary anguish.
Legacy & Life Review Projects
Revisiting your past accomplishments and fond memories will bring immense comfort to those moving through the end-of-life. Perhaps life wasn't perfect all the time, and emotional barriers weigh heavily on you or a loved one. Passing on lessons learned can heal inner conflict and lead to true self-acceptance and tranquility. Honor your life with connection and closure.
Listening & Companionship
I will listen to fears, hopes, and life stories; offer empathy, and help navigate any anxieties of the dying person and their loved ones to help bring peace at the end of life.
The power of holding space for an individual is incredibly touching and rooted in humility. Building relationships with my clients and offering them ways to find solace and understanding during this sacred time is ultimately my passion.
Respite care for caregivers & sitting vigil
I will guide you through the hardest moments of your life by providing respite care for exhausted caregivers and supporting loved ones through the early stages of grieving. Bedside care and sitting vigil are all part of my offered active dying transition plan.
Nothing ever fully prepares you for seeing the death of a loved one. There is always a sense of shock even when you know it's coming. Preparing the bedside environment will offer a tranquil space for the client and loved ones. Respectfully following the spiritual preferences of the client and family is an integral part of my plan.
